ABOUT

I am a Public History MA candidate at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, focusing on environmental history education in the public sphere. My ultimate goal is to work as a historian for the National Park Service.

Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, I graduated from Wofford College with a BA in History and Sociology in 2012, and have spent the last 6+ years working in immigration law.

I'm passionate about public education, environmental justice, informed citizenship, birdwatching, and the anthology of JRR Tolkien, among other things. Keep up with my public history projects, thoughts on field developments, and visits to historic spaces and public lands here.
